
Sharon Anderson is an expert in "collective
leadership" - doing together what is
not possible as individuals. Her pragmatic approach
makes her sought after as a strategist and coach in
the areas of leadership, shared power proactive change,
facilitation, and community and organizational development.
She has 30 years of experience developing programs
for people at all levels in the educational, political,
community, and business arenas. Her background includes
extensive public affairs work in executive and professional
development,
international and intercultural relationships, and leadership
education.
She is co-author of Leadership
for the Common Good Fieldbook (2000)
and Facilitation Resources
(1999).
Prior to co-founding Aurora Consulting in 2002, she
was Director of Professional Development Programs at
the Humphrey Institute, University of Minnesota. She
has also directed the Institute's Reflective Leadership
Center and its International Fellows Programs.
Sharon obtained her B.A, from St. Olaf College and
her Masters from the
University of Minnesota.

A wide range of experiences has led Julia Classen to
co-founding Aurora Consulting. She has been a leader
on non-profit boards of directors for more than 30 years,
serving organizations that are national, regional and
local in scope. Currently, she serves as the chair of
the board of directors of the MN Charities Review Council.
She is an expert in a variety of arenas, including nonprofit
governance, strategic management, and facilitation.
She has conducted workshops and training sessions
at state, local and national conferences.
Julia received her B.A. from Ripon College in political
science and speech-communications and her Master's degree
from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute,
with an emphasis in leadership and non-profit management.
